Reset servisného intervalu sa líši podľa značky auta. Väčšinou sa robí cez palubné menu, tlačidlá na prístrojovej doske alebo diagnostiku. Nerob reset len preto, aby kontrolka zmizla, ak olej a filtre naozaj neboli vymenené
